Welcome!
I'm Steph Gerolimatos, an artist and yoga enthusiast living in a quiet, charming New England town. My studio assistants are a shy, black feline named Panther (AKA Pan) and his little, uninhibited, Siamese brother Chibi—both of whom make appearances in my illustrations.
I was born holding a crayon in one hand and a question mark in the other. For most of my 20s and 30s, my art focused almost entirely on translating concepts into abstract imagery and ran the gamut from painting to sculpture, often falling somewhere in between. That still describes much of what I make. In the spring of 2009, I developed a love for sidewalk chalk and spent hours hunched over the concrete inventing imaginary creatures and meeting inspiring, magical friends who changed my life. Consequently, my art practice expanded to include illustration work.
I've been practicing yoga since 2005. Originally, I tried it for mental health reasons. I was looking for another form of physical exercise to help clear the frequent chemical floods which overwhelm my brain. Slowly, I learned of yoga beyond the poses. In 2020, I earned a certification and started teaching.
Turns out, yoga is a vast practice that builds mindfulness, strength, and balance in all aspects of life. It's a path that creates positive change. Maintaining a yoga practice is a key facet in caring for my mental and physical health. I'm happy to be able to share this amazing, ancient practice with others.
